Meaghan O’Connell is a writer and editor who lives in Portland, OR, with her family. O’Connell is the author of the 2018 critically-acclaimed memoir, And Now We Have Everything: On Motherhood Before I Was Ready, which was shortlisted for the Goodreads Choice Award, featured on the Indie Next List, was a finalist for the Oregon Book Award, and was named an Editor’s Choice Pick in The New York Times Book Review and a best book of the year by NPR.
Most recently, Meaghan was the senior features editor at Romper, where she wrote their weekly newsletter and published a National Magazine Award-winning package on C-sections.
Aside from an ill-fated but instructive tenure as an early employee at both Tumblr and Kickstarter, Meaghan has been writing professionally for 15 years.
Her work has been featured in places like The New York Times Magazine, The Guardian, New York Magazine, The Billfold, where she was co-editor, and in her parenting column at The Cut.
